hogmeat Posted November 9, 2006 Share Posted November 9, 2006 i don't so much think it's an engine brake (at least I hope your engine doesn't break) but rather a response to throttle input to drop it to a passing gear for more power. If you happen to release throttle right away, it'll wait a bit before downshifting again - to help ensure a long life. Someone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.... I'm pleasantly surprised...
