Jazzy silent CD problem?

Not really sure what is happening here. I have had the Jazzy board for a while and never had a problem but recently started to notice that the silent cd would jump around. I have always had the cd in slot 1 and like I mentioned on occasion it will just jump around, I wasn't sure what was causing this so I checked the CD is seems clean and I didn't see any scrathces. Last time it happened I tried muting the XM radio to see if it was something odd with teh output but no change. Next I played disc 2 and there were no skips at all, then played the XM over disc 2 and again no problem. So it apperas to be an issue with disc 1 or the silent cd. Next time I go out I'll switch the silent cd to disc 2 to see if the problem follows. If not how do I make a silent CD? Anyt other ideas on things to try? Has anyone else seen this?

CD-Rs and DVD-Rs don't last forever. CD-ROMs are actually mechanically printed so they don't grade. CD-Rs degrade. It sound like you need a new blank CD. The instructions are on jazzy's website and thread.

I've had this happen to some CD-Rs.

Yea - it must either be degrading, or some other defect in the disc is finally showing itself. Anyway, it's very easy to make a new one - here's the walkthru I posted:

Thanks...I found the info later...I am just surprised it is crapping out already. I think I got the set up in June so I would have expected it to be a bit more durable. But I guess there just may have been a defect in the disc from the get go. If it turns out to be anything else I will let you all know.
