axis008
Ok here are two STi shift knobs. One of them is for the 6M/T STi and the other is for any automatic. My question is will either of them work on the 5M/T or are the threads different? Or is there some other factor preventing its use? -ben
SUBE555
6MT is likely needed to be used with the pull-style reverse lockout of the 6MT tranny, and the auto, dunno about that. I thought you could find similar ones for the 5MT. Might want to check the JDM STi site. :)
axis008
Damn, I was hoping for the 6M/T you wouldn't need to worry about the reverse ring (i.e. you remove the knob above the ring). -ben

axis008
Hmm, I've seen both the Prodrive and Kartboy shift knobs. I don't like them though because they are too showy. I want a simple ball one. Momo and Sparco both make ones that I'm talking about. Just wondering if the STi 6M/T would work, since I think it looks really nice. Also, the automatic STi shift knob reminds me of the ever-so-famous Integra Type-R titanium shift knob, which looks nice and simple in my opinion as well. Being picky is okay, isn't it? :D -ben
MSB
These are the 2 types of knob available for the new Legacy from STi in Japan currently.
gtguy
I'll just be swapping my Momo Air Race (or Race Air...whatever) over to the Legacy. I love that knob. Kevin
SUBE555
If you like the round knobs, the Prodrive is an option if you like that.
