Karting locations

I was looking for a good place to go karting,if possible shifter karts. No slow kids karts.

 

I found one in Oxnard. But i was wondering if theres something closer, and as good.

If you're talking about Jim Hall Kart Racing School in Oxnard, it's a blast, and they have classes for beginners! Classroom stuff plus a lot of track time.

 

Their standard kart is plenty fast, and the track is demanding/techincal, but fun.

 

Go with a group of friends and you'll have a great time.

 

There's also a Kart school at Willow Springs. Well prepared Karts...shifter Karts are super fast! But don't go in July/August...too damn hot!

Um... as for karting places... There's Dromo1 in Anaheim, K1 Speed in Irvine and Carlsbad. That's all I know.

www.moranraceway.com It's in Beaumont and a 1 mile track. 70 MPH carts (non-shifter) and they claim 2gs in the corners. I think it's $275 for 40 laps and instruction. I'm planning on giving it a shot in mid November.
