GTWag Posted September 28, 2004 Share Posted September 28, 2004 When my right knee rests on the thin strip of dash trim (left of the stereo), it makes an annoying 'clicking' sound (the sound of the trim bending in slightly, I suppose). Does anyone have this same problem? Is there an easy fix? I am thinking about taking the trim off and adding some thin foam or something to that spot. Any ideas? I took it to my dealer and told them what to do, which is to pull the side panels and put some foam weatherstripping in there to eliminate the plastic-on-plastic squeaking. c_hunter Posted September 29, 2004 Share Posted September 29, 2004 Yeah, I took the skinny silver piece off each side of the console when I was doing audio mods, and lined all the mating surfaces with nylon tape before putting everything back together.
