FJ60
Planning on purchasing an up & down pipe. Almost pulled the trigger on a Cobb catless, then seriously considered the Invidia combo with cat. Now I'm pretty sure I'll get a Cobb combo with a catted down. My noob question is this: Is it necessary to coat or wrap the pipes to protect the engine from heat? Cobb says it's "overkill" unless I'm seriously modding the engine (i.e. a dedicated racer). Please enlighten me. FJ60 "Sweep the leg!" - Sensei Kreese, Karate Kid

FJ60
Found some info. Sorry, getting lazy. I was hoping for an overwhelimg preference either way, but it looks like a recent poll indicates it's even.
