Retirees tend to stick out but, there really are all sorts of people living there. I think it does mean you may want to be careful before finding a place to live. From my limited experience, gas is more expensive than New England, food cheaper (beer seems priced equal). I think, housing is cheaper. New England tends to be an expensive place to live so depending on where you live... Going to the beach, boating, all outside stuff 3 - 4 seasons per year is fantastic. The "dog" days of summer are a factor. It's hot, humid, and people (well retirees) generally stay inside or, travel... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
