A few pics from IRL at Sears Point

I was at Sears Point today for the first day of IRL & Grand-Am action. Friday was mostly practice sessions; the big races will be on the weekend.

After watching these cars for half a day, I really felt an urge to sign-up for a track day at Sears Point. :)

Thanks GTCanada. I'm using a digital SLR (Canon 5D with a 70-200mm lens) and this was my first attempt at motorports & panning. I was out there for about four hours and realized that getting the car to fill-up the entire frame and still show motion isn't easy. :) But Sears provides really good locations for fans to shoot from.

Nice. I'm looking for a DSLR and the Canon 20D was recently recommended to me. Can't swing the $$ for the 5D unfortunately.

The 20D is a great camera and so it the newer 30D. And I've seen prices start to fall a bit on the 30D. You can't go wrong with either.
