rock2447
Pulled into my driveway and got out of my 00 legacy the other day and saw smoke coming from the underneath of the car. Checked and tranny fluid was leaking onto the exhaust (very small amount). When I checked the tran fluid level it shows it is way over filled (level hasn't changed and no continuation of leak). I've never touched it so not sure how long it has been that way. Suggestions on whether its blown a seal or could have gotten out somewhere else and if I drain it suggestions on what to refill with or other maintenance I should do at the time. dplacen
It could be the trans pan leaking or the o ring on the drain plug. The trans level should be checked with the car runing. Sometimes the stub axel seals leak too.
rock2447
I drained about 1 3/4 quarts of tranny fluid and changed the ring on the drain plug... I also added BG conditioner and I'll keep and eye on it for a couple days or so.
