When I first joined this board, it was a weath of knowledge with helpful and supportive members. Lately, I have seen numerous "smart ass" posts which are rude and condescending. Especially to the new people joining the board. What seems to be the problem? We are all here to discuss the Legacy. But that's life. Observations that this space isn't as bad as some other spaces serve as "crabs in a barrel" comparisons to me. The failure of other spaces shouldn't have any impact or bearing on the quality of this space. Yet alas, these observations are doomed to be thus. With a public forum, there will be all sorts of people posting, from calm and mature to snarky and contentious. The only board I know of that still has its nice vibe is a Telecaster discussion board, and that is because it has one moderator. If someone doesn't play nice, they get a warning. If they persist, they are kicked off the board. Period. Suffice it to say, that is a very nice space, that even has civil and courteous political and current events discussions. I think I can hook up with 1 or two of my contacts there for some nice information. I am going to check about finding the best hotel (and one that might offer SIA suppliers/visitors discounts). Sounds like many of you agree..... The point is... if we are aware of the issue, we can go forward from here and try to make it better.... I really do enjoy it immensly and have to get a daily fix.
