dv8ingvector
Here are some photos of qualifying at Lime Rock. I wish I could have stayed for the race. However I am glad I was able to see (even got to touch) the R8 in action before it was retired. One of the most winning cars ever in the sport, and oh so sexy! The 009 Aston Marten was stuck in the mud something fierce, I think there was 4in of water in the car when all was said and done... Have to say the pannos was one of the coolest sounding cars I have ever heard and the mazda car was one of the loudest I also Bumped in to a fellow GT owner and informed him of the sight (mine is the black one for the specks check out the vb garage)! robinlsb
It was always a tough course. And bumpy way back when! "Belief does not make truth. Evidence makes truth. And belief does not make evidence."
dv8ingvector
It was so cool; it was the first time I have been to see them. I was talking to a few of the Dyson guys and I guess it is still really bumpy and hard on the cars. It has to be the shortest track they race as well fastest lap was 47 second and change which makes for lots of traffic. Anyone watch the race? The 009 car beet the vet by .003 and the r8 won its last race!
feersum dreadnaught
I was there all Saturday - my wife bought us the tickets, and took me as a fifth anniversary gift. Took my 12-yr old daughter too, because 12 and under are free. Wife liked it, and wants to go back for either the historic races in September, or the ferrari/masaratti (sp?) races later in July. Sat up on the hill at the end of the long straight - great day. Loved walking through the paddock area. Happy to see all the drivers doing their autographs - seems that every form of racing has caught on that fan relations are key to their future.
