spacejunkiehsv
On TDC's website the APS flex uppipe says that it includes a heatshield. I don't see a picture of it on the page though. Do any of you have pics of the heatshield or know where I can find pics of the heatshield?
spacejunkiehsv
I think I answered my own question with a little digging. I copied this text from a vendor website. Unlike uppipes without 321 Stainless flexible coupling, the APS uppipe will not suffer from cracking or manifold stud breakages due to the expansion under extreme load and high exhaust gas temperature. The APS Double Wall 321 Stainless Steel Flex Coupling is specifically designed and manufactured to suit the WRX and STI under high horsepower applications. With an internal 321 stainless steel Endurance Flow Tube, the external Double Wall 321 Stainless Steel flex is insulated from high exhaust gas temp to ensure total durability - whilst providing a stress free coupling between the exhaust manifold and turbocharger. I don't really know if that is as good as say the coating on a Crucial uppipe or not. It probably won't matter enough to worry about anyway.
