Speedo reading vs GPS reading

You guys only get 2-3% off? Mine is about 6-7% optimistic...

 

Brand of tires (some have larger circumference than others even for the same sizes), tread depth, tire pressure, etc will all effect your speedo reading. GPS is the only way to get an accurate reading under all circumstances.

Interesting thread we have going here... I just went for a drive ( on stock tires ) and my Droid X's GPS was dead on. I set my cruise control at 70 and the GPS said 70-71. I was driving a little slower at 35 and my GPS said 35.

 

Not sure if it's my phone that makes a difference?
