chuckzul
The car did run smoother with the AEM, the throttle response is different now that I went to the SPT, it is a little harsh. I will be doing data logs on the system once I have some updates for my PP7. Doesn't Subaru require you to reset the ecm when changing intakes? Just wondering is this is what you might be experiencing.
CasopoliS
That just forces the ECU to 'learn' the changes right away. If you do not reset the ECU... your engine will learn around the intake eventually (but it wont do it well).
luvbster
is there a point to getting an intake if my car isnt a turbo?...^^"
CasopoliS
is there a point to getting an intake if my car isnt a turbo?...^^" you can hear your engine better! I don't know... maybe it will help NA slightly.... not sure.
fzanetti
Stop thinking about power. Seriously that is the wrong term to use when talking about intakes. So far K&N Typhoon gets the most votes on this forum judging from what I have read.... but I am sure we can expect some good results with the SPT too. I like the K&N because it comes with a heatsheild and the SPT heatshield is really exensive. Don't only think about power, but throttle response, etc..... That's why I am very curious to see some logs on the SPT... Flavio Zanetti Boston, MA
robsontuning
I do think that the running issue is the system re-learning. I am very happy with the SPT.
