MilesA
I bought a car in PA and registered it in VA, so I'm assuming the process is similar. Your PA dealer will issue you a temporary registration and paper tag good for 30 days. It costs about $60, IIRC. You do not pay sales tax to PA. You will also get a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin, which you will use to get your title in MD. When you get to MD, you register your car with DMV. You get your permanent tag and your title in MD. You pay your sales taxes to MD at the same time.
