llmask Posted September 12, 2004 Share Posted September 12, 2004 i just placed my first full tank of gas and decided to record the mileage in mode B - so i reset it to 0 miles. i noticed, after 1/4 of gas use, the mpg reading was jumping from 15.6 mpg, to 22, to even 99!!! when i switch back to mode A, the mpg reading was stable, but then i switched back to mode B, that thing started as " - - - " then it started jumping again! ill take pics and post them later. I know I reset both A and B when I refuel, after it will progressively climb on average, but you will only see it go to 99 if it's in real-time mode. You might be able to see it do that if you nearly idle your way out of a gas station at the top of a several mile long grade and put it in neutral and coast the whole way, it might do it then too. :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
