Legacy Turbos

Recommended Posts

I'm relatively new when it comes to understanding turbos but I've been reading a lot of forums and I was wondering if anyone knew enough to tell me what size turbo would fit best on a 2000 LGT. I've seen several sizes, some up to 40mm, but I'm not sure if the car can handle something like that. All help is greatly appreciated :icon_bigg Thanks :icon_bigg

Also, are there any engine preps needed to handle the compression?

Updated parts list since original part-out here.

Im not sure what size would fit, but there are many vendors that can help you , Cobb Tuning and AVO Turbo world , as well the impreza forums. If you want longevity from you car you will need to do some research and plan on rebuilding your engine with upgraded components such as forged pistons, and crank, upgraded cooling and other things. I looked into this a couple of years ago when I had a 2003 legacy, but I took the easy way out and bought a legacy GT.
