Tire question

I run 225/45/17 Kuhmo ASX but on 17x7.5 rims:icon_lol: ........looks good...no problems. If you check with http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp and look in the "Specs" area for various tires you will find that the manufacturers don't recommend anything wider than 225s on 7 inch rims.........if you go wider on 7 inchers you will start to run into sidewall flex issues that will compromise handling and safety.:(

I have 225/45/17 BFG KDW's on my stock rims, and they fit perfectly. They look great, and are a lot wider then the stock tires. The tire size doesn't tell you everything. Some brands/models run wide at the tread, some skinny. For example, I had a set of Dunlopes that were an inch wider at the tread then the same size Nittos. I think the stock Bridgestones are on the narrow side for a 215.
