16psibrick
i did some wiring on my car today, and did a quick search for firewall passthrough and didnt find too much... so after looking around for about 5 mins, i found a really easy spot, it is a diamond shaped grommet behind the engine cover ont he driver side...just slice open the middle and a ton of wires can fit through.. here is where it goes...my 4 guage and 8 guage fit with no problem: http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/legacy61.jpg and while i am at it, might as well show the rest of hte wiring http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/legacy58.jpg http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/legacy59.jpg http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/legacy60.jpg

16psibrick
i try to use a different color than black so i can differentiate between stock loom and my additions, so diagnosing later when there are a lot more stuff under the hood doesnt become an issue... as for hte yellow, well the optima battery sorta started that b

RIVERWHITE
phoenix96 do you know anyone in Colorado who installs w/ as much attention to detail as you? I have always done my own install for Stereo and was very clean but: Job, Daughter, cat, Dog, Gerbils, Fish oh and sleep etc do not allow me to now if I want it completed before next year. Thanks Brotha

16psibrick
my bad, i thought the first pic shwoed it relatively well... let me try some close ups today as well as where it come out in the interior but if just peak behind the engine cover relatively high up, you will see the piece i am talking about b
16psibrick
acutally th wires are no wehre near that big, but i wanted the loom to cover the plated terminals as well, whcih is why they need to be that huge hehe bare metal of any type that carries positive current is a bad idea hehe b

TRS
Here's a link to some more pictures of the firewall groment and where it is located above the acellerator. I used it to pass a vacuum line through to my boost gauge. Only available on automatics as this is where the clutch master cylinder is mounted on the maunuals.
