fun pass to 100 in the SS

Yeah thats what does it the converter. Not only allows you to leave harder but the shift extension is cut down. Shifts at 6600 never drops below 6K. 5EAT guys are you listening? Get a converter and you will lay waste to us 5MT guys at the strip!

shouldnt be too much different than shifting and slipping the clutch a little on the shift to keep the RPM's up in an MT.. But you'd lay waste to your clutch in a single run.

It's completely different. A good converter multiplies torque something a manual tranny can not do. For drag racing you can not match a well built/setup automatic transmission.
