Dr. Zevil
Here are the new pics from the Subdriven site of the 2005 Outback LL Bean and XT models. I am real impressed with the way the outback looks. Very nice indeed http://www.subdriven.com/gallerytk/gallery2.php?mode=album&album=Automobiles/Outback/2005#
Dr. Zevil
Don't know what country these outback pics are from but I thought they were worthwhile... PPower
I like the grey wood, but the trim pieces around the console look like plastic in most pictures. That bone white color is nice.
Dr. Zevil
Depending on the reviews (skidpad, accel, etc.) I would consider an Outback XT. I think it looks sweet with the fender flares and the huge fogs. Very nice looking.
PPower
Come on, Zevil. You can slap on a Legacy GT suspension when somebody sells it cheap to get some coilovers at least. Then put on some 245/40/19's. I'm just about to convince myself on this.
Dr. Zevil
There is just something about the front that looks better than the GT. I don't know if it's just the fogs or the fender flares or what. It looks sweet. I never in a million years thought I would consider an outback but I am.. I highly doubt I would get one but I will say that I am considering it. Since we just got about 8" of snow here it would have been nice to have that clearance. The lowered WRX that I am driving right now needed a snow plow in front of it  So are you seriously considering the outback as well? I would have to debadge to make myself feel better
PPower
So are you seriously considering the outback as well? I would have to debadge to make myself feel better
If suspension change would be all that is necessary to drop it, yes. The gauges look better, the bumper is better, and it has the flares & 4.444 for blingin 19s or short ratios for the track. It would need lower profile rails though. On the bumper, I really think that the extension isn't all that looks so horrible on the Legacy. It's the portion below the beam that is styled differently. This "complaint" isn't new at all. It was noticed that the bumper was different back when the spy shots were taken of the Legacys on the highway. The end of that was to wait and see if it really is different or just appeared that way from lighting. Turns out the "complaints" weren't unfounded at all. Now if there becomes a performance version available or lowering the OBXT proves to be a problem, then I'd pass on the OBXT. I'd still be trying to figure out how to get the flares though. 8)
