lhsa
hi all: i know this is such a noob stereo question, but i wanted to get everything i needed before i started the install. i have a pair of alpine 6.5" type-s coaxial speakers sitting around that i wanted to throw in my 06 LGT sedan. my question is this: does the existing speaker wire connection plug into aftermarket coax speakers or do i need to splice in a set of connectors? if so are the connectors spade type? sorry to be such a noob, but any help is much appreciated:icon_tong
Chief_Wiggum
The existing connectors won't work on your aftermarket speakers. I know Crutchfield sells adapters if you want to avoid cutting. The factory connectors will accept male spade connectors.
