typej
I like everything about the upcoming 05 legacy wagon except for the tailight design. It looks to much like kia rio cinco wagon to me (Does anyone agree?). It's not exactly a good car to copy from. So I photoshopped the back and I think it looks much classier. 8) original: http://www.subdriven.com/gallerytk/generated/Automobiles/Legacy/2004/034__scaled_600.jpg kia rio cinco: http://www.kiaofcapecod.com/images/rio_cinco.GIF

Dr. Zevil
I don't think it looks too bad, but I don't really see the improvement. Post the original so we can do a side-by-side.
PPower
It looks like you are thinking about putting the reverse lights at the top which would be impossible. As for covering up the top portion of the lights to make it same as the paint, that could look good. The problem I see is covering up necessary brake lights because that is such a large portion of the light. I'd rather think that the Rio Cinco looks like the legacy. :D Honestly, the Rio Cinco is very stylish, especially for a budget Korean car.

SUBE555
The amount of light emitting capability is there for a reason. To show others where your tail end is and what your intentions are (unless of course you start drifting. :D) I'm sure someone rear-ended you in a storm of some sort because they couldn't see your tail end, you'd be liable. Just making you aware.
gtguy
The original looks best of all. There isn't much resemblance to the Kia, at all. Closely look at the lights...the shape of the Legacy's, how it sweeps upward into the blackout portion of the rear window and the sharply-defined integration with the liftgate. It's the same as people saying the WRX (bugeye) headlights looked just like a Neon. They actually looked more like a Mercedes, but they in reality looked identical to neither. Now from the back, a WRX sedan looking just like a Toyota Echo is another story. I can't tell you the number of Echos I came barrelling up behind, ready to wave "Hi," only to find it was an Echo. Kevin

It's not like it's like a Volvo or a Stagea with the lights running all the way up the D pillar.
