Guest *Jedimaster*
Hey man- I used the link you gave to the Toyo Proxes and got a great deal on 4 of them shipped in size 225/55/17- can't wait to put them on!
racerdave
Yeah, you might want to save your thanks until you put them on and drive on them. ;) Seriously, let us know how you like them in comparo to the 92s.
Guest *Jedimaster*
I'm hoping they're a lot better than the RE92's. Anyone wanna buy a set of 225/45/17's for their WRX? :P
SUBE555
If your primary mission is for the road, as an OB is, I don't think you'll be disappointed one bit. Run about an extra 3psi in the tires over stock and you should be set with a nice firm yet compliant ride. They stick in the corners and are an overall great value. BoxerGT2.5
Hey man- I used the link you gave to the Toyo Proxes and got a great deal on 4 of them shipped in size 225/55/17- can't wait to put them on!
You realize 225/55/17 is almost an 8% increase in diameter over stock. More than 2 inches. I hope you meant 45. OBAMA......One Big Ass Mistake America!
SUBE555
He has an OB, so the diameter would be about 2" smaller than stock.

Guest *Jedimaster*
Stock OB XT tires are 225/55/17. You guys get the 45 series. I double checked it last night with a flashlight before I ordered. I was going to go to 45, but someone posted a calculator which told me it would mess with the speedo readings. I don't plan to offroad at all with my car- I'd just like a decent ride and a quiet, well handling tire. If these do well on my stock wheels, especially during the winter, then I'll get another set for my Rotas next year.
Limeydriver
Toyo don't even list the 225/55/17 in the Proxes 4. Weird. http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_specsheet.cfm?id=

SUBE555
I run the Proxes 4 personally, but Toyo appears to be a rather good tire overall. D-2.5-GT
Stupid question, but what is shipping cost like on 4 tires? :?:
Limeydriver
Weird. Check www.treadepot.com
Those are Proxes S/T's a completely different tire. I used to run them on my Jeep.
Guest *Jedimaster*
Tread looked kind of "sporty" to me. BTW, the shipping is like 52 dollars.
Limeydriver
They are not too good in the snow. The are really an SUV tire, I guess they would work fine on the XT.
