Taking to the dealer for.......

Recommended Posts

Sounds more like the torque converter locking up to me. Unlocked, the engine will rev higher than locked even in 4th gear at the same speed.

Would it be normal with a torque converter lock up when the cars been running for about 30 minutes and then when it switches from 4th to overdrive it shifts smoothly.

+1 thats exactly what it sounds like. It does this on purpose once your speed starts to even out, to improve gas mileage. The jerk is probably just because its cold.

Ok I went to the dealer and these are the warranty they had:

100 deductable

5yr/100,000 $1200

6yr/100,000 $1400

7yr/100,000 $1650

6yr/80,000 $900

50 deductable

5yr/100,000 $1450

6yr/100,000 $1600

7yr/100,000 $1850

6yr/80,000 $1070

0 deductable

5yr/100,000 $1690

6yr/100,000 $1870

7yr/100,000 $2160

6yr/80,000 $1280

What I thought it was stupid that if I purchase the warranty the warranty starts from the day the first owner bought the car. and that was at 137 miles. So basicly my warranty is up till 80,000miles or 100,000 then its gone depending on which one I purchase. It doesn't add on to the miles I have on my car now. That pretty dumb huh?

I was thinking of getting the 100,000mile 1200 dollar one? What do you guys think?
