bpc8bpc8
It's going to be time for new brake pads soon - anyone replace them on the 2.5i yet - recommendations?
mrejda
It's going to be time for new brake pads soon - anyone replace them on the 2.5i yet - recommendations? +1 The bobcats are out but they seem like overkill. I just want something with low dust. Pads for the 02 WRX are a direct fit IIRC.

Yep, the WRX pads will fit on our cars. If you aren't doing any type of competing, and the stockers are working fine for you now, just stick w/ them... ebpda9
my brakes need an overhaul too. i have found brembo slotted or crossdrilled for out 2.5i's and the front part numbers are the same as th 2.5rs impreza for some reason.
bpc8bpc8
how many miles you got on already? I'm right around 29,000 miles - and my car just turned 1 a few weeks ago. I'll be doing my own 30k service when it warms up a bit outside. If I'm replacing the brake fluid I thought I would replace the pads as well. Xantium
05 2.5i brakes and 06 2.5i brakes are different. Even 05 2.5i and 05 2.5i limited have different brakes.
ebpda9
yeah, i pmed opie about it and the early build legacys have smaller brakes than the ltd or the later builds and 06 models. get it right subaru.
iyalla
I believe 05 2.5i brakes are the only odd ones out. 06 2.5i brakes are now the same as 05/06 2.5i Limited brakes. Basically they eliminated the odd man out 05 2.5i brakes. GT stays the same.
