ABS Light after strut install.

Drifting STi

Recommended Posts

I have learned my lesson. I installed STi struts and springs on my beater Legacy wagon. Boy, what a difference this made. The stock struts were really shot. It handles bumps and turns 100% better.

NOW! I think I messed up my ABS system in the process. The ABS light is on. I might have damaged a speed sensor wire during the install or one of the sensors was damaged in the process. I hate it when you fix something and something else goes wrong!

Now I trying to find the ABS computer under the passenger seat to read the LED code. I cant see S***! I'm going to tear the passenger seat off with my bare hands, I'm so frustrated right now.

So far the ABS sensors are about 100 beans new. And as far as a used one......they never come off correctly and get damaged in the process. So I might have to change the whole hub just for the sensor!

Moral of the story is leave some jobs to the professionals. I'm going to stick to oil changes and routine maintenance.

Hehe, happens to me EVERYTIME!

New exhaust = O2 sensor broke

New pads = Broke brake line + caliper piston stuck

Subs = Blew 3 fuses

New seats = Scratched window tint

New stereo = stolen :mad:

New CV joint boot = Broke upper pillar nut

Also my car is run off 1/2 synthetic oil and 1/2 my blood

Have I learned my lesson and only let "professionals" work on my car? HELL NO! Why? It keeps my life exciting :)
