Friend of mine had an RS with a speed chip, did all sorts of electric havoc with his engine...but haven't heard complaints from others. Been looking for a chip myself for my 2000. Was a website about a year ago that had 2 different legacy speed chips...one 12hp and one 7hp/5 torque, both for around $225.00 each, haven't been able to find it since...does that Venom one have a website? Most of those sell for 30-40 and claim unreal hp gains...good rule of thumb is, if the chip isn't a couple hundred dollars, it's probably a scam .
