feardaram
I tried putting in my JBL GTi 6.5inch comps. They have a mounting depth of 2.75inches. I used a 3/4inch spacer. I got them to fit in the door fine and clear the window, but then i couldnt get the door panel to snap on properly down by the speaker. Are you all using much smaller speakers than these? What size spacers are you using? Thanks in advance!

sgt
you could try a slightly thinner spacer perhaps 5/8"
gfxdave99
I didnt do the install but Tweeter put in two BA SL-60s which have a depth of 2-7/16" without any spacer needed. If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough. - Mario Andretti
feardaram
these have a mounting depth of 2.75 inches. without the spacer the magnet would hit the window before going all the way in. with the spacer the speakers barely fit in. i had to bend a piece of metal that was attached to the bottom of the window so that wouldnt hit on the way up/down. its just that with the spacer, and the speakers being quite large, they stick out from the door quite a bit. frustrating.
