Nonvteclegacy
Is this the wire for the autodim/compass connector? smoss
Not sure. Mine was already installed, free of charge, when I picked up my car. Just see if it is hot when ever the car is turned on, then it should be the one.
Nonvteclegacy
Are the plugs different from: The auto dimming/compass from the auto dimming/compass with HOMELINK (built-in transmitters to activate garage doors, gates, home lighting, door locks) Without Homelink http://home.mchsi.com/~luv4eternity/autodim_without_homelink.jpg With homelink http://home.mchsi.com/~luv4eternity/homelink.jpg
Nonvteclegacy
Can somebody post some pictures of how it is mounted and where the wire runs too. I would really apreciate it. Thanks

smoss
I don't really want to take my car apart to get pics of you sorry. As far as the homelink and non-homelink mirrors, the homelink is fully self contained. So the only thing it needs is power, which it is getting for the auto dim feature. I would be very very very surprised if the plug is different between the two types of mirrors. If the plug fits, plug it in and try it.

I want to know because when I order it I dont want to have to return it. Do all the auto dimming mirrors mount on the winshield because in the picture with compass and auto dimmer it looks likes its coming from the map lights
Paradiso
No worries, that's the right plug. They mount on the windshield. What you see in the picture is a plastic channel/cover that hides the wire from the mirror going under the headliner. The wire runs from the mirror up under the headliner and plugs into the white plug circledx in your picture above. Very easy to install.

How come the auto dimming mirror/compass without homelink doesnt have the little square where the compass should be? http://home.mchsi.com/~luv4eternity/autodim_without_homelink.jpg
Sub_Free
thanks. How come the auto dimming mirror/compass without homelink doesnt have the little square where the compass should be? The compass is below the mirror on the black part. You can barely see it in that picture, right in the center.
