NYsFinest
How much does the stock rim on our LGTs weight?
Xenonk
black on black on black with no contrast isnt going to make your rims show up or get noticed at all, so that's why no one is really going to comment too much about it.. all you will be driving is just some black mass.. LGT rim weight is already posted on other threads here, just do a search (it was said to be 21 to 22 lbs). DS1 from Sparco are really heavy last time I checked and it almost tipped the scale at 25 lbs for a set of 18x7.5 Keefe

I suppose, but you gotta do what you like not what others like. I think in the longrun I'll go w/ the black rim w/ chrome lip from tirerack. Thank you. :-) DS1 from Sparco are really heavy last time I checked and it almost tipped the scale at 25 lbs for a set of 18x7.5 Wow, thats pretty heavy. rfd425
racing sparco d-spec stage 1 at discount tire/america's tire: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/product/wheels/spcds1.mtb.ang.jpg I think these are the best-looking wheels in this thread. 17's should be considerably lighter than 18's; they probably are no heavier than the stock LGT rims. NYsFinest
I don't like the fact is has that numerous bolt hole look. Once the wheel is on, its gonna have all those empty hole spaces..........blah.
TRS
From the ones you've chosen so far it looks like you prefer a black 5 spoke wheel. I'd go with this one... Alt AT-267 Sonix carbon black: http://www.altwheels.com/products/images/33/pic2.jpg All black except for the center cap and the spokes cast shadows into the wheel for some definition and depth. This SITE lists 17x7 and 18x7.5 sizes as fitting 1990-2005 Legacy. Reasonable price, no idea on quality. You can check with ALT Wheels for fitment. Edit: Just found this picture of a 5 bolt... http://www.stylabilen.se/Exklusiva/Alt/23at267sonixblack_m.jpg Looks like only the spokes and outer rim are black, with the inner rim silver. No swiss cheese holes though.
elarbee
i gotta say black rims on a black ride without a chrome or coloured lip = robocop but who says you gotta buy black? you could buy any rims ( almost ) and get them powdercoated any colour you like. or maybe shadow chrome? http://www.floridarobot.com/images/car3.jpg
TRS
Not exactly the style of wheel you're looking for, but interesting none the less... http://www.dailyabuse.com/lost_in_The_Midwest/RoadSideAttraction/Tree_tire/images/DSC01868.JPG

Yes, black spokes with polished lip = good, better than full black. Tenzo rims would be my choice since those are cheap and come in decent sizes that fit on the GT. TYNY
NYFinest, the first one you posted looked good but i agree it would be too black on your car. you might consider just driving around to local tire/wheels shops around NY and just see what they offer. hey maybe wearing your uniform they'll give you a break on price!! starlabs
As mentioned by someone else, what about powdercoating? Just buy another set of stockers and powdercoat them black - unless you want a different wheel style however. -=- Livin life at 140 BPM -=-
zildjiank
Uh, I don't like it... WAY too black for my liking...you won't be able to see them... If there was a sweet chrome lip, I would say ok, but otherwise...no...
jlce88
I'd like to powdercoat the stockers gunmetal gray. BTW, the one originally posted is nice, but too many bolt holes as has been said, for me.

BTW, the one originally posted is nice, but too many bolt holes as has been said, for me. i got a quote on this hence my idea for NYsFinest to get it done. the guy told me it would take three to four days because they have to sand the rim back, acid wash it (or something) let it dry, powdercoat or chrome dip or whatever then let it dry or bake it or whatever. all up $120 per rim and four days without rims.
