MtnSub
The dreaded seat belt CHIME is back. My car is a year old LegGT/wagon/MT with SS. I love it more every day, BUT the awfull seat belt chime is BACK. This site had a post the explained how to disable the chime about a year ago. You had to turn the key to on 31.5 times in 29.3 seconds three different times with a lap around the car backwards in between key sessions and sing Gob Bless Tokyo to disable the alarm. I did not have any service, the battery did not die or get disconnected. WHY did the chime come back one day for no reason? Is it on a an auto-reset every 12 months? Anyone remember the magic spell that disables the chime? Must it be done every year? I love this car, even if the chime is a pain. This car is a point and shoot road weapon that is so much more fun than my BMW3, AWD/MT wagon. Please Subaru, give me a reason to buy another Leg/GT "wagon" with MT in 2007. Can Subaru say Leg/GT/STI or H6 Turbo with Manual Trans?

mccorry
It comes back on with extreme cold. Mine did it last winter... and I know of 2 other people who had the same issue.
MtnSub
Thanks for the Christmas present all. I will try the 20 click method AGAIN. Doubt the extreme cold caused my chime to re-appear. I live in SoCal and the chime came on before I went to Mammoth for skiing. Thanks and happy holidays
