RumblyXT
Sometimes after unlocking my alarm with the key fob and subsequently opening the door/s, the alarm will activate.. Issue description: Right after hitting the button on the key fob to deactivate the alarm and subsequently opening a door, at times, the alarm doesn’t seem to deactivate and it would beeps 3 times, like: “beep beep, beep beep, beep beep”.. and then the full alarm will start sounding.. Then, the Alarm won’t shut off with key fob unless I start the car. It’s as if it wouldn’t really had been deactivated even though it gave the two loud beeps confirmation that the car was unlocked after hitting the key fob, but alarm stays armed.. Quite annoying and it happens randomly right after opening the doors.. What could this be? Edited July 8, 2023 by RumblyXT
silverton
Is it specific to one door, or is the trouble symptom with all of the doors?
RumblyXT
I haven't tried the rear doors, but it happens with both front doors. Edited July 8, 2023 by RumblyXT
silverton
That's a head scratcher. Is the installer still around? It's likely something wrong with the alarm brain; sending the signal to unlock the doors but not disabling the alarm.
RumblyXT
Yeah, I really can't tell.. I purchase the car this way. As I said it happens very random after I unlock the car with the key fob. Sometimes, after opening the driver and/or the passenger doors, the alarm remains armed even though it just gave the warning beeps it was deactivated.. might need to bring the car to an alarm installer.
