7subaru4
Hi everyone, Happy New Year !! I just came back to New Zealand after almost 3 years overseas. My Subi stayed in a container at a friend's place (was driven every 6 months). Its a JDM SW Legacy GT '07 5EAT with an EJ20X engine. I need to get it back up and running for my futur plan in NZ, but I notice that the tird mode (Sport Sharp) won't engage. Neither with the switch on the steering whell or with the SI Drive rotating knob. Intelligent and sport engage and work, but nothing happen when I try Sport Sharp. Of course I wait for the engine to be hot (blue light off). But even when the engine is cold I should have a message which tell me to wait for the engine to heat up. No message anymore. I unfortunately don't have a OBD code reader or the one I have won't show any error code, but I can't see much of the sensors of the car so wondering if it really connect to the ECU. Anyway, does somebody had this problem before ? Last time I used the car everything was working fine in July 2020 and my friend drove it for only 20km total on a drive way. I changed filters, oil, checked gearbox level. What could be the problem ? I don't have any engine light on. Thanks for your help
Rusty9
does it give you the "no" beeps when trying to engage? Could be a faulty ecu temp sensor as S# wont engage if temp too low OR too high. otherwise the manual suggests checking the physical switch(es) and wiring.
