Sti intake manifold on regular ej255?

Howdy all,
 

I've got an 09 OBXT 5mt. Curious whether there would be any gains to swapping an sti intake manifold. Saw one for sale the other day from an 06 that was hard to pass by. Would something like that fit? With a tune would there be any benefit?

The STi manifold fits, but the effort isn't worth the payoff as far as I've read.  Our manifolds, while much less attractive, are just fine and there are plenty of turbo setups for them.

It's my understanding the "best" Subaru manifold out there for making power is from something like a 2005 2.5RS bc it's got slightly longer runners.

2009.... if you change any part of your intake or exhaust system, you need a tune, even right down to an airbox/cone filter.

Yes, I'm aware. I have a cobb accessport that I've run for all my bolt ons thus far and just began the e-tune process with Ambot Tuning.

Not worth the time or investment as the stock plastic manifold flows just as good (if not slightly better).
