1996 legacy outback wont crank

My key broke in my ignition lock cylinder so I ordered an OEM ignition lock cylinder from the dealer and when I installed it, and turn the key all the lights come on it wont crank but when I remove the lock cylinder and try to start my car with a screwdriver it cranks but wont start I have checked all the connections to the battery and starter as well as all the fuses and everything is good. Im at a complete loss and don't know what else to do. Edited December 13, 2021 by jldonio048
