cyklon
Hello All, The last two weeks has felt like a year, so give you just the cliff notes. I bought a Foxwell NT530 Scan tool thinking it would make changing my rear brakes easier on my 2015 Subaru Liberty/Legacy (with Electronic Parking Brake), boy was I wrong, now my car is now stuck in maintenance mode. So obviously I would like to get it out of maintenance mode. After looking around on the internet it seems taking it to Subaru to fix it with their SSM Tool will work, but before that I wanted to try and fix it myself. My idea is to reverse engineer/manipulate the "Brake Maintenance Mode" CAN messages sent from my Foxwell to hopefully deactivate "Brake Maintenance Mode". I am currently using an Arduino with a Keyestudio CAN Bus Shield to read CAN messages. Any insight/help would be appreciated, even if you can explain why my plan won't work. Thank you Edited November 15, 2021 by cyklon Missed a detail
