UnknownDexy
Hello, i've got a Subaru Legacy outback 2004 with automatic transmission. i've got an 0851 error code and it says that it has Park / Neutral Switch Input Circuit Low. I don't have any problem with starting it or anything but I have the check engine light going and i wonder if the connector between the switch and the wire to the rest of the car could have corrosion, so it doesn't make good contact, is this normal on subaru's or?, the car has 186k miles on it. thanks. Max Capacity
I'll say you are the first. Get under the car, find that connector and clean it. http://people.csail.mit.edu/ilh/vacation/ \ The service manual may help you find it. Or ask google where it is. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
