ChalkyCroissant
05 LGT 5eat. A couple weeks back I hit a decent bump on the highway. I got an er1u message on the trip meter. Got to where I was going and left it for a day or two. Came back and left and the er1u was gone. Fast forward to now, the er1u error pops up as soon as I shift out of park. It comes up immediate if I start in neutral. Even when the car is in accessory mode. I've seen a few other threads on this error but none seem to mention these issues. I've tried disconnecting the battery overnight, checked all the fuses, checked under the car nothing seems like it got hit bit anything. Battery is only 2 or 3 months old too. The AP says it's around 14v while driving/idling. Anyone have any magic suggestions, or is it time to crack out the wallet and go to the dealer? apexi
Yeah I just did some googling, I bet the dealer will tell you this "The letters ER IU are there. When i had the car in for service they told me that it needed a new BIU (body computer) for about $840. They said that it was diagnosed w/ code B0100 (short detected in BIU Unit)." https://www.subaruoutback.org/threads/biu-error-codes-after-battery-was-replaced.33857/ Battery cables look okay, clean and tight on the terminals? Grounds under the car look okay? I think there's also a transmission ground going from the firewall to the transmission? There is on MT's, not sure about AT's. grounds https://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4454860&postcount=
