Auto Tranny from Europe compatible with?

Got a tranny from a Brighton (Australian Legacy). To make a long story short it wasn't compatible with my sons car. Part time mechanic thought he could make it work with new harness, etc., but then he moved away and the car sat for a year, so not really able to go back to the guy who sold it to me. Decided to get a compatible tranny and so now have this one and am not certain what it is compatible with after hours of research.

 

How this translates to the US models is the issue. I don't want to deal with selling it and not representing it correctly with regard to compatibility. It's a donor from a car that was wrecked within months of being new and was advertised as zero miles.

 

This is the info I've sourced.

The code on the tranny is TZ1A4ZFDAA-RW --Europe B12 Legacy GX or (KA:RX) used in sedans from Jan.99 on and in wagons from Oct. 98 on.
