MD/DE JDM 05-07 Pre-Facelift HID Auto Level Headlights

Recommended Posts

Four years later and these return to the Forum. Converting to facelift so these are no longer needed. Recently sanded and polished them to look pretty, will need a protective coating or clear wrap otherwise will turn yellow again. High beam and low beam harness modified to plug in to stock harness, DRL and turn signal modified to plug in using a 4-pin trailer harness. Worked great when removed. No clue about the auto-leveling, never bothered to mess with that.

Asking $250 shipped. OBO Located in Queen Anne, MD. SOLD Locally

Thanks, I'm interested, but need to do some research. The leveling adjustment is the feature I want.

I know you'll need the sensors at each wheel, the control module I think, and the control switch. Definitely doable. Just let me know

I installed this gen. HIDs last Fall.

Forum member AW4BYT makes and sells the harness to connect both headlights to the dash switch. Excellent quality and easy installation. You can buy the switch on eBay.

Not sure if this applies to all JDM HIDs, but mine were sealed with mastic, not glue, so opening them to flip the shields wasn't hard using a heat gun and gentle prying.

You can search the forum for the shield modifications. There's a significant difference in L & R beam patterns with respect to height that you'll want to correct. To do it right, you need to flip both shields and swap L & R.

You'll discover that the squirrel finders need to be flipped to the opposite side, and on the JDM units they are curved to match the shield. Using a jig and bench vice, I flipped the curve on the shields so they would match up.
