GordiniLGT
Four years later and these return to the Forum. Converting to facelift so these are no longer needed. Recently sanded and polished them to look pretty, will need a protective coating or clear wrap otherwise will turn yellow again. High beam and low beam harness modified to plug in to stock harness, DRL and turn signal modified to plug in using a 4-pin trailer harness. Worked great when removed. No clue about the auto-leveling, never bothered to mess with that. Asking $250 shipped. OBO Located in Queen Anne, MD. derache123
Have the shields been flipped for proper LHD beam pattern?
GordiniLGT
Nope. I had these installed while living in England.

derache123
Just confirming, these do not fit the USDM bumper/front end, correct? I believe they do, IIRC they only stopped fitting USDM cars post-facelift.
GordiniLGT
Just confirming, these do not fit the USDM bumper/front end, correct? Well that's a USDM front end in the pictures. Derache123 is correct, facelift models have different bumpers/fenders USDM to JDM.
All_talk
Does anyone have a link on flipping the shields? (I searched but no luck). I don't mind opening them up, but it would be nice to know what's involved. I've been inside the USDM lights, the same or different?
GordiniLGT
I can't help with that, but they do have the auto level motors so they can at least be adjusted down to not blind oncoming traffic. That's what I did when the car got back to the states. Just a temporary fix.
All_talk
Thanks, I'm interested, but need to do some research. The leveling adjustment is the feature I want. Gary

Gary I know you'll need the sensors at each wheel, the control module I think, and the control switch. Definitely doable. Just let me know
All_talk
I didnt realize there was a full auto option? I'm just looking for level adjust from the dash switch.
GordiniLGT
I didnt realize there was a full auto option? I'm just looking for level adjust from the dash switch. Ohh yeah, from what I've read, it's an asspain. 05MNLGT did it on his S402 replica.

There might not be a full auto option. I was mistaken.
Blink
I installed this gen. HIDs last Fall. Forum member AW4BYT makes and sells the harness to connect both headlights to the dash switch. Excellent quality and easy installation. You can buy the switch on eBay. Not sure if this applies to all JDM HIDs, but mine were sealed with mastic, not glue, so opening them to flip the shields wasn't hard using a heat gun and gentle prying. You can search the forum for the shield modifications. There's a significant difference in L & R beam patterns with respect to height that you'll want to correct. To do it right, you need to flip both shields and swap L & R.
Blink
You'll discover that the squirrel finders need to be flipped to the opposite side, and on the JDM units they are curved to match the shield. Using a jig and bench vice, I flipped the curve on the shields so they would match up.
All_talk
Very Nice Blink, this is exactly the approach I am planing, nice to see it worked. I've got questions, but probably shouldn't clog up the sale thread... I'll PM.
