What's up everybody? In the market for a new daily/winter car and came across this.

Checked it out yesterday, was impressed with how clean and well taken care of it is. Very little interior wear and tear, upholstery basically looks new, shift knob shows low wear, no evident interior issues. No bubbling paint, all wheel wells feel solid, undercarriage was clean from what I could see. Engine ran quiet and smooth, drove well, no weird chassis noises. Needs a set of tires (both front outer shoulders pretty much gone) and alignment. Taking it to a shop this week for an inspection, going to have them pressure test the cooling system, any other low hanging fruit? Can't remember if these have clutch inspection ports.

Me - Former mechanic, worked on Subies from 03-06, so not worried if suff pops up in the future. Currently driving a beater 96 integra I had to buy in haste, but it's time for an upgrade. Wife's already on to me about how I'm "not going to buy just a normal car." Last time I told her I was going to buy a sedan I came home with an 05 CTS-V and proceeded to dump too much money in to it, still have it and she still hates it. I thin she's jealous.

Anyway, hopefully this all checks out, I really like these cars. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

The only thing that concerns me is when you look at the carfax. When I see that the last owner had the car for only two months, it seems very odd...

I think the last few lines of that are the first owner turning it in to the dealer, the dealer entering in into inventory, then offloading it to a wholesaler.

I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow, see if they'll share the last inspection report with me.

Sure can’t dump too much money into a 5th gen LGT. Depending on how you define “too” and “dump” and “money.” Of course, every one of the tens of thousands of pennies I’ve spent has been critical and necessary and important and...um...

Love that color.

Welcome. That's a great color.

One of the upsides of the '10-12 LGT is that it's a bit of a unicorn. Not that many aftermarket parts fit it. That said, a Cobb accessport and turbo back exhaust really opens it up.

Managed to track down the original owner on the interwebs, 61yo woman outside Cleveland. Google street view shows the car sitting in the driveway. Waiting for her to call back since Byers Subaru won't help me out with the service history.
