Auto transmission Power light blinking.....

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Need some guidance.

Recently we had bad rains and a lot of flooding in the city. All 3 of my cars were also flooded damaging the ECUs. I have a bugeye Impreza, a BH5 GTB Etune and a BG5 GTB Limited.

Fortunately we have a guy who can fix ECUs. The Impreza is done and is running fine. We are now working on the BH5 and struggling to get it running again. The engine starts but misfires due to one of the injectors not getting any current. One of the connectors of the ECU is also loose. Both of these issues are being rectified on the ECU. However, when the car started, the Auto transmission (Sport shift) power light would keep blinking. Any idea what this could be?? Is it because of unplugging the ECU and that the ECU is not not working properly??? or could there be any other issue??

Any help towards the right direction will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Wow...that's bad luck to have all 3 get drowned.

The Subarus in the USA have a way to get the codes - not sure it'll work on yours:

Obviously, if you can't drive the car, getting up to 20Km/h is impossible. I'd still try to check the codes. My guess is you'll need another TCM/TCU (transmission computer), too.
