Mitaine
I would like a Subaru engineer to explain to me why both regular and adaptive cruise control always revs the engine 2-300 RPM higher than without cruise; Ex. 1950 RPM at 110 km/hr instead of 1700. It defeats the purpose of a cruise which aims to reduce fuel consumption. I demonstrated this to a dealer, who was amazed and contacted Subaru technical support to be told that the fuel consumption remains the same. But I have doubts. I think they programmed the cruise control to stick to the CVT's simulated eighth gear of 0.559 instead of the final gear of 0.503. I don't get it. caddygti16v
I noticed that you can usually shift up one more "gear" while cruising at 110km/h. I'll have a look next time though just switching cruise control on and off. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
caddygti16v
Tried it today, didn't seem to be a difference between the two. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
