Designed using CAD technology, the COBB Blue anodized billet shifter body is CNC machined from 6061 Aluminum. Like our original design, the shift throw distance and shift knob height are independently adjustable and both can easily be adjusted with the shifter installed in the vehicle. Stainless Steel socket head screws are set in a counter bore for a flush mount and provide a clamping force that firmly holds the upper and lower slider shafts in place. This new design improves the ease of making adjustments while also being significantly stronger.

Compatible with the factory shift knob or any aftermarket knobs designed to replace the factory unit

Justin,

After instaling my shifter this weekend, http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22999

I have the following suggestions:

1 Mark the slider shafts with a minimum insertion/maximum extension point

2 Mark the slider shafts with stock shifter starting points to aid initial adjustments

3 Include a photocopy of instructions with the shifter

Great product none the less!

Awesome. I'll pass it along!

Can you edit the page and make it say "05-06"?

Instead of just 06.

Done!

Are the installation instructions online? If so, where?

Josh is making some new instructions up. I will have them up on the website as soon as they are done. We will most likely send them with every shifter as well. The current instructions will assist you for now. Taking off the top slider shaft, and using a rubber mallet to *pop* the ball into the socket should get you all set :icon_bigg

I would also add to the instructions to cut away the top left portion of the stamped metal shroud to allow for proper shifter linkage clearance. The suggestion of turning it around 180 is kind of a band-aid fix and you lose two screw anchor points for the center console trim. During my install, any appreciable setting to shorten the throw distance caused interference between the shroud and the linkage.

I just intalled my Cobb Double Adjustable, I had to get rid of the top half of the rubber insulation for things to work farily smoothly without catching anything. Removing the top half of the rubber insulation DID NOT increase NVHS, by any noticeable amount.

So, how do you get the stock shift lever out?

I tried the PDF instruction method, but the center console near the seat heater controls got in the way and I never got things to "pop" out.

I'm done for the night anyway now that I have the steering wheel controls working, but either way ... I'd like to get the shifter installed tomorrow.
