Eric_V
Hi I have a 2009 Legacy 3.0R with about 90 000 Mile and I have the errors core 302, 304 and 306 so some misfire on the same side. I changed the spark plug and it was good for about a week and then the check engine light got on again. What do you suggest ?
RustyRuu
Any oil in the spark plug hole? If so leaking valve cover could cause it. Did you try switching the coils from on side of the motor to the other and see if the codes follow? What plugs did you use?
Eric_V
Well I'm not a mechanic and I don't really have the time to be But I still have some knowledge. I talk to my mechanic and see what he think. He was on vacation when the light went on again so didn't have the occasion to talk to him. I just wanted to see what people would suggest. I read somewhere that the battery could be at cause for some code. I wanted to change mine before winter, it's 6 or 7 years old so might has well try it. Eric_V
Well took some time but I changed the coils but it still have the same problem. If nobody has any ideas I going to take it to the dealer. I didn't want to do this since I had some bad experiences whit the dealer near me and the other are kind of far. silverton
According to the FSM, if you have codes 302, 304, and 306, it recommends replacing the spark plugs, replacing the fuel injectors, checking the compression ratio, and finally verifying mechanical timing.
