5 speed transmission big uh oh

Okay, so... yesterday was when this all happened and by the time I got to my destination (literally JUST made it), I ended up coasting the car into the driveway. So here's the story:

 

I have been hearing a scraping noise in my transmission since I purchased the car, however it never caused any issues until now. Yesterday when pulling onto another road, I was releasing my clutch while in first and I heard a big bang. The clutch slipped a little and made a couple more bangs before I shifted into second, then in second while letting my clutch out, another few bangs went. Same with third gear as well but fourth and fifth were silent or at least they just had the scraping noise. By the time I got close to where I was headed, you could smell something burning and now even after I let my clutch out when shifting, the clutch was having a very difficult time catching and would still make the big banging noises. Anyone have any insight into this? I'm not the most knowledgeable with transmissions so I'd appreciate any info anyone has.
