unlimited6986
Just got home and noticed a strong gas smell. Go to my car (05 legacy gt wagon) and underneath the back passenger door I see gas dripping down. Haven't been able to look under it since it's to late. Gonna look in the morning, but is there anything I should check if it's not something that pops out at me?
MaasaiWarrior
The fuel filler necks are known to rot... you may have to pull off your passenger rear wheel and remove the cover to see it 08 Spec B, insta: @08_spec_b, 10 SH Forester insta: @shfozzy
Andy_Mac
The pump cradle seal can perish too. I had some trouble getting mine to seal for a while so had leaks in the same place. Whip out the back seat base and take off the cover and you'll be able to see if it's wet around it. 2000 Legacy B4 RSK - SOLD 2006 Legacy BP5 GT Spec B wagon - Garage Thread 2011 VW T5 van 2.0L of turbo diesel awesomeness

Pleides
Can’t speak for my own car as I live in a salt-free state, but the fuel filler neck doesn’t take kindly to salty roads. Check there first. Extremely common problem on these cars.
Chocoholic005
Could be the tank too... those can get pretty bad around the seams.
