Back in the late 1970s my small company was hired to prototype a proof-of-concept order entry and management system for a national fast food chain. We had been advised early in the design phase to expect "unusual" combinations of anything on the menu. During field testing, one of the test cases that our prototype handled gracefully was something on the order of a "large peanut butter and chocolate malt, hold the mustard, with extra pickles."
