twisted
Anyone have any experience with these...any input? Seems like the tread pattern on these new HTR H4's is exactly like sumitomo's HTR+ except the new ones have silica compund tread. I think the reason was to improve gripping performance in snow and also the tread wear. The old HTR+ didnt rate too well in those areas but otherwise seem to be solid tires for the money.(based on reviews on tire rack) HTR H4 (no reviews on tire rack) HTR + (reviews suggest decent) Feel free to suggest a better All season tire for the money that handles well in snow. sutter2k
They are pretty cheap. I'd say pretty decent for the price. I am not sure I would recommend them for our car though. Had HTR+ on my 98 maxima. Okay/sporty tire in spring/fall. Got a little tool soft in the summer. Made it by in the winter. I put the another set of HTR+ tires on my S4 (heavier car). Lane changes where not confidence inspiring. Tire was too squishy. Side walls too soft. I think a better tire can be had. PZeros are probably the best handling of the all season bunch and get by in the snow. Other below are pretty decent. Probably slightly better than PZero in snow, but worse in dry. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/product/logos/sm.fal.logo.gifFalken Ziex ZE-512 Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 Ultra high performance all-season. NHLEG
Only "big" advantage is they are nondirectional so better tire rotation.
